Alicia has authored over 400 publications, cited over 10,000 times, a Scopus H-index of 53 (May. 2020) and presented at many major international invited talks. Her work on prediction and prevention and underlying mechanisms of diabetes complications has attracted widespread interest in the general and scientific media, including The Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology, Diabetes Care, Diabetologia and the Journal of Diabetes Science and Technology.
